MAROLA'S SEMINARY OF CARPINETI (as soon as the images )

Traditional destination of holiday and venue for attraction, Marola, however, is especially known in the centuries for the abbey and the adjoining seminary of Matilde, historical center of culture for the whole mountain.
The church, located a short distance from village, in direction of Carpineti, was founded by the Countess Matilda between 1076 and 1092, with construction of the monastery in a slightly later period. The church and the convent had received land allocations by the countess and the hermits were in sufficient number to constitute a religious community prosperous and influential. Quickly,the Monastery Marola was consolidated by acquiring other real property on a wide area, even outside of the mountain.
Abbey shows a gabled façade with a portal to all sixth, splayed. It is observed in the center, a mullioned window.
The church is liturgically oriented. Stand out in the apse is decorated with arches. The "palace"is enhanced by two internal cloisters, while outside, to the east, are the circular towers.
